The Old Turner Inn at 232 Catalina Avenue, Avalon, California.

The Inn is conveniently located on Catalina Avenue not far from Von's. The building has wooden floors and stairs and a brick fireplace. Old photos and paintings adorn the walls. The rooms are clean. An ice maker and electric kettle are provided in the common area, but microwaves and fridges are not available in the rooms. The rooms in front get some street noise. The breakfast is delicious and filling. The owner (Roger) is friendly and accommodating. Games, a library of DVDs, and televisions are provided for entertainment.

The Inn was perfect. The location could not be better. Quiet. Cozy. Great room. What distinguishes this Inn from others on the island is Kathleen (and her crew). Kathleen answered every question, provided us with great stories about the island, and served a most delicious breakfast. The appetizers and wine in the afternoon were also much appreciated. She also recommended the Catalina Island Conservancy jeep tour which was a highlight of our trip. And she made recommendations about restaurants and anything else we asked about. Five Stars!

Amazing stay! The inn was beautiful, quaint and very clean. The inn keeper does a beautiful daily breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening. She was friendly and had great suggestions for food and fun on the island. We will definitely be staying here again!
